Hayle is an ideal holiday destination located within a spectacular natural setting next to three miles of golden sand. The town itself has a good range of shops and other facilities.

Situated next to Cornwall's largest sand dunes and with a long sandy beach, the town is an excellent place to visit. The beach stretches for three miles from Hayle River to Godrevy lighthouse offering possibly the most attractive beaches in St Ives Bay. The beach offers activities ranging from extreme sports (surfing, blo carting) to swimming and sunbathing. The sheltered estuary attracts migratory birds and is nationally popular with the bird-watchers.
